Roentgen side table from Eichholtz

The Eichholtz Roentgen side table, with its waxed black finish and openwork top and fluted column base, echoes the elegant proportions and ingenious functionality of its historic predecessor. Inspired by the ingenuity of an 18th-century German tilting table from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Originally designed to rotate and tilt, the museum table allowed the host to serve tea in privacy, without the presence of servants.
