EichholtzThe Eichholtz Cadwalader Console Table, in black marble with a carved blackwood base, embodies elegance and majesty. Its flowing lines and refined silhouette pay homage to 18th-century craftsmanship. It draws inspiration from a remarkable 18th-century American table in the Metropolitan Museum of Art collection that once belonged to General John Cadwalader (1742–1786), a prominent figure in the Revolutionary War era in Philadelphia. The original table—likely crafted by a London sculptor who recently arrived in America—combines the flowing ornamentation of French Rococo style with the naturalistic precision of English carving. This sophisticated blend of European art and American history receives a contemporary interpretation thanks to the Met x Eichholtz collaboration. Dimensions: W 128.5 | D 64 | H 83 cm
