Macchina della Luce chandelier by Catellani & Smith

The Macchina della Luce chandelier by Catellani & Smith comes from the Luci d’Oro collection and is Enzo Catellani's artistic reflection on the color of light—golden, warm, and organic, inspired by the sun and fire. The design is based on the concept of light refraction, achieved through a system of suspended, hand-finished discs covered with gold foil.

The MDLG model (mod. D) consists of five diffusers of varying diameters, the largest of which, measuring 120 cm in diameter, is finished with a striking flying leaf technique. The gilded surfaces enhance and softly diffuse the light emitted by the integrated LED modules. The structure is complemented by slender brass or aluminum rods and a nickel-plated ceiling base. This lamp is perfect for representative, large-scale interiors. The model is also available in other variants and configurations.
