The Sorry Giotto lamp by Catellani & Smith is an expression of Enzo Catellani's fascination with the perfect form of the circle and his desire to create an object as minimally invasive as possible in a space. Three rings of hand-painted copper in an intense blue are suspended from a slender, black stem, creating a dynamic yet harmonious composition. When turned on, the lamp emits a soft, warm light that highlights the contours of the circles and gives the entire piece an almost cartoonish character. The design was honored with a Wallpaper* Design Award as the best floor lamp in the home design category, confirming its timeless and iconic status.
